Yo Internet, thanks for coming over to my humble-yet-so-trendy-infulency ™ blog collection. My name’s Chris, I’m a 30something professional software engineer from Austria. I have more than 13 years of experience in the field of software engineering and want to tell you about my horrific experiences. In all the time working in a professional field, I learned a lot thanks to the shortcomings and fails of others. But don’t worry, we’re here to continuously improve, right? 😉
What you will see here is a mostly sarcastic look on the most obvious buzzword bingo terms in software engineering in the 21st century. My goal is to explain why certain things work, and also especially why certain things don’t work. As I am also a consultant offering companies a headstart in software engineering management and workflow design, I decided to tell the world how to do it better.
The roles i was taking in software development span multiple disciplines from development back then and now, product management, agile and traditional methods, and so on. Because of this wide spectrum, I sure got a lot to tell the world and I am sure you will have your fair amount of laughter. While it’s definitely my goal to make people laugh, at the same time my goal is to improve software development. How? By showing you that not everything written in any book will help you to achieve your goals.
